FPA launches online training courses in Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing
Financial Planning Association (FPA) has launched online training courses in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter Terrorism Financing (CTF). The courses are specially meant for financial planning professionals. The courses were developed by Deloitte, which provides AML/CTF consultancy services.
The courses will help financial planners to identify, report, and prevent potential money laundering and funding of terrorism activity. The course also prepares financial planners for the new Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006, which comes into effect from 13 December 2007.
FPA together with IFSA is also preparing guidelines that will aid financial planning professionals in fulfilling customer identification collection obligations, which is part of the new legislation.
